As a non-commercial, educational FM station broadcasting for the public interest, KCSB strives to provide programming substantially different from that carried by commercial broadcast media. It is also designed to be educational for both programmers and listeners. UCSB students and other programmers are provided an opportunity to learn the fundamentals of radio broadcasting.
KCSB’s Annual Fund Drive is a ten-day event and our only on-air fundraiser of the year. It’s starts next on Wednesday, February 15th and runs through Friday, February 24th. It is our time to raise funds for KCSB’s 61st consecutive year of existence, and supports successful 24/7 broadcasting, our amplification of underrepresented voices, and a wide array of events that serve our community.
