Vietnamese Food in America
UCSB Library is bringing chef and immigrant workers’ activist Diep Tran to campus for a discussion about Vietnamese cuisine and how it fits in with a broader conversation about immigrant cuisine in America, with an emphasis on labor and workers’ rights. Diep will offer attendees a snack of banh mi. Discussion will be moderated by Donna Anderson, graduate student in History, and Vice President, Asian-Pacific Islander Graduate Student Alliance (API-GSA). Space is limited and advance registration is strongly advised. Students will have priority. To register, or for more information, please write firstname.lastname@example.org.
Co-sponsored with UCSB MultiCultural Center.
