Three panelists — Joaquin Becerra, Assistant Director in the Office of Judicial Affairs at UCSB; attorney Laurel Kaufer, co-founder of Prison of Peace; and Lizzie Rodriguez, co-executive director of the Conflict Solutions Center in Santa Barbara — will speak about how they use restorative justice with students, in the prisons, and in the community. Restorative justice is a process through which victims, offenders, and community members meet to collectively repair the harm caused by a crime. (UCSB Library, Mary Cheadle Room, 3rd Floor)
