The Hungry Woman
In this reinterpretation of the Greek Medea, Aztec (Mexica) deities descend upon a dystopian U.S. future. Poet-Playwright Cherrie Moraga employs an intimate realism to create a drama of mythic dimension about two exiled women, their love of each other, and of the Indigenous nation denied them.
