Mental Health Town Hall
Hello everyone! UCSB will be having it’s very first Mental Health Town Hall in order to address the current state of mental health resources and identify areas of improvement.
Here are the 5 Ws of information:
In this town hall, we will be discussing pertinent questions regarding the current status of UCSB’s mental health resources. We will do this through engaging with a panel of administration/mental health specialists, breaking into focus groups, and coming all together for a group discussion. At the end of the event, there will be a resource fair where students can talk to administration regarding any questions they may have and find out more information on existing resources.
With this structure for the Town Hall, we hope to provide a forum where members of the UCSB community can easily and safely voice their concerns and be a valuable part of the process to improving our campus climate on mental health.
Friday, January 31, from 3-5 PM
The Director of CAPS, CAPS mental health professionals, the Vice Chancellor of Student Affairs, UCSB’s Mental Health Task Force, members of the Office of the President, and other school administration will be present.
In order to bring about relevant and tangible change to UCSB’s mental health resources, we need to hear the voice of the community. We need representation and your passion for change at the forefront, so we can have a productive conversation that makes a difference for current and future students.
We hope to see you all there and hear what’s on your mind!
