Herstories Writing Workshop #2
Did you miss the first writing workshop, but want some help developing your piece? Did you attend the first workshop, and just want to get some more writing time in before the submission deadline?
You asked, and we listened – we are having an additional Herstories Writing Workshop!
If you have a story you want to tell or see on stage, the UCSB Vagina Monologues and Herstories are your chance to be heard!
The UCSB Women’s Ensemble Theatre Troupe is excited to offer the Herstories writing workshop, aimed at helping students begin to tell their story, or to hone a work in progress.
In this two-hour workshop, participants will be guided through writing exercises and other creative activities by Alessandra Albanese, a five-year veteran of the UCSB Vagina Monologues and Herstories.
Attending this workshop is not a prerequisite for submitting for Herstories, and work created in the workshop does not have to be part of submitted work. However, we want to give students space to come work and play in a safe environment, and explore new possibilities for stories to be told onstage.
Attendees should bring a pen and something to write on. You are welcome to bring works in progress, or to just bring your beautiful brain. Feel free to message us with any questions!
Already written your Herstory, or know someone who wants to? Submissions are currently open until Wednesday, November 7 at 11:59 pm! Submit your piece here: https://tinyurl.com/ucsbherstories
