Cory Richards is one of the world’s leading adventure and expedition photographers. A passionate mountain climber, his camera has taken him from Antarctica’s unclimbed peaks to the summit of Mount Everest as he captures the soul of exploration and the complex relationship we have with nature. He is part of the North Face athletic team and delivers stunning images to National Geographic, Outsideand The New York Times. In 2012, Richards was named one of National Geographic’s Adventurers of the Year for being the first American to summit an 8,000 meter peak in winter – Pakistan’s Gasherbrum II. The stunning film he co-produced about this climb, Cold, was awarded the Grand Prize at the 2012 Banff Mountain Film Festival.
