40th Annual Harvest Dinner
On November 19, 2015 at Corwin Pavillion 6pm-9pm we will celebrate the 40th annual Harvest Dinner. Hosted by the Educational Opportunity Program, the Harvest Dinner was first created in 1975 for Native students that could not go to their homes during Thanksgiving Weekend. The Harvest Dinner is a celebration for American Indian students of UCSB and members of the Chumash tribe to celebrate American Indian identity.
In keeping with tradition, this is a potluck dinner, and the main dish and drinks will be provided. We invite you to bring a side dish and/or dessert.
American Indian individuals are welcome to wear regalia.
Everyone is welcome. Please RVSP by November 13th Friday there are limited seats. This is required to attend. Please call us to RVSP (805) 893-4758.
There will be a silent auction. The silent auction proceeds will go to the UCSB American Indian Cultural Resource Center Scholarship Fund. If you want to donate to the auction, please notify us by the Nov. 13.
Dress modestly or business casual.
Please be respectful of rituals during the Harvest Dinner.
